Back to Real Life
by the time he gets home from work and school mon-wed its about 8:30 p.m. and I have work at 5 p.m. in salt lake, and then thursdays James doesn't have school after work, but we will still most likely miss eachother by about 15 minutes! :(
Wow... I hope my work schedule will change soon, hopefully in a couple of months we wont have such conflicting schedules!
But We have had so much fun these past ten days! We went on our little honeymoon to salt lake for two days, had a random guy buy our breakfast for us when he saw the "just married" stuff all over my car windows, and then we went shopping around at Lowes and Home Depot, to get ideas of things we will need for our house, and picked out paint colors, and just walked around looking at anything else we thought was cool hahah.
Then, we went on walks almost everyday this last week, we went 2-3 miles and just held hands and enjoyed the warm weather :). We had a barbeque this last weekend with his dad and neighbors, we stayed up late learning how to play Phase 10, rented some movies, and drove to our house just to drive by it because we are so excited to move in in a week and a half! :)
oh and much to my delight we found some girl scout cookies that were being sold, so we stopped for some of those too!
I think the married life suits us well! :) We love it, and we love each other so much! And each day just gets better and better! (seriously! what they say is true.. it just keeps getting better!)
And Easter weekend we get to move into our house! (which we may not totally move in, we might just paint that weekend, but it will be ours!!) Hooray! :)
We are so excited for summer barbeques in our cute backyard!!! :) oh...and i remembered it even has a designated garden area right outside the kitchen door, so I decided I'm going to attempt planting a garden this year!
Well... those are the updates for now!

The Newlyweds!!!
When I had to walk down the huge flight of stairs with my dad I was suddenly terrified I was going to fall down the stairs, so i think I went a little too fast...hahah but I just had to get down the stairs in my 3" heels, then I thought I would be fine...hahah.
But my nerves had gotten the best of me, first of all I don't do well in front of large groups of people staring at me hahah, it makes me nervous, even when it is all family and close friends, and second I was focused on getting to flat ground, hahah!
Then I got to the alter where I had no clue what I was really supposed to do, but handed off my bouquet to my maid of honor as i had seen in movies, and turned to James, the love of my life, the bishop then asked us to take eachothers' right hand, and well lets just say we were both nervous and that confused us...LOL. oops! (that's right, learning left from right without hesitation might even come in handy on your wedding day... who knew?!?)
I was shaking, nervous, that everyone was staring at us, and nervous because we had zero time to even ask the bishop what we would say or when, and I was so sull of emotion I wasn't sure if I was going to cry, laugh, or simply smile, so my lips decided to quiver....hahah never had that happen before...so I was then worried I was possibly about ready to pass out... so then I thought, "ok..just don't lock your knees...ok. check" (Don't worry, I didn't pass out!) Instead James was trying not to laugh, uncertain of what my quivering lips meant... so he whispered "Don't cry" and that made me laugh little. Then the bishop got to the part where we each eventually said "I Do", and then said "you may now kiss your bride," and we were told we could do better hahaha, so we kissed again. :) Then, not sure of what to do next we started to walk back down the aisle, we didn't even think to wait for the music, and I don't even know how long before the piano player caught on and started to play... I didn't really hear it, I was too lost in the moment to really care either!
Backing up a little... we had a dinner before the ceremony, with our immediate family and grandparents, it was great, they all had a chance to get to know eachother, and our parents and some of the grandparents stood and shared a memory, story, or gave us some advice, it was very emotional and sweet. At the end, James leaned over to me and said, "I wasn't going to cry during this part!" It was so cute :) He cried quite a bit, and so did I, it was such a good way to start the day really, my dad shared a story about me, barely able to run, running out to our peach tree where we had a small strawberry patch beneath it, to pick my dad a good strawberry. James' step-dad talked and thanked James for doing something he never could, giving his wife a daughter. (James' mom has 6 boys, so as you can imagine, she had always wanted a girl!)
During the reception, we had many friends and neighbors and distant relatives come to show their support, and one moment I won't ever forget about that day was when James' Grandma came and said that his older cousins, Katie, would like to sing for us. We should have walked out the other end of the building so that everyone could have heard her, she was amazing. She sang accapella, "I will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston, and it was so amazing, Seriously, she needs to sing professionally! We both started to cry during this too, hahah...but you probably would have too just because of her amazing talent. It was awesome! :) Too bad someone didn't record it, but maybe one day I'll record her singing and put it on here for you guys, just so you know I'm not lying! :)
Our flowers turned out to be beautiful, I loved them! The huge alter arrangements were stunning, I of course, loved my dress, James looked ridiculously hot in his tux, and it was the best day ever! I can't wait to see some pictures!!!
For our honeymoon, we just went to Salt lake for a couple of nights to have a little get-a-way, without breaking the bank! We decided to do this because we also are buying a house!! YAY! I know I have mentioned it on here before, but we have it under contract, and we were worried for a little while about the old sewer line, but we had it checked out and it was in really good shape, so the deal is still on! We close at the end of the month and get to move in hopefully the 3rd of April! For now we are just staying at his dad's house. But we cannot wait to move into our first house together!!! Its going to be so much fun! On monday we walked around Lowes, and Home Depot, thinking of things we could do to make the house ours, and I picked out paint colors, we looked at tile, bathroom vanities, and light fixtures! It was so much fun!!!
Anyways, I just thought I would share a little about our wedding day, and the beginning of our lives together! The wedding day really was perfect, and you can't plan every detail, so we had some funny "blooper" moments, and moments where we wern't sure what we were supposed to be doing, but it was still so much fun and we loved every moment of it! I'm sure when we see all of our pictures, we will remember more stories to share too! We are so excited about starting our lives together!!! So stay tuned for more stories and pictures from our journey together! :)
Love,
James & Caitlin Kopecky :)

crazy!!
I knew it would be weird when it got this close, I mean its so out of the normal routine, that one day that you somewhat randomly pick, becomes such an important day, and that so much changes with that day too! Did anyone else think that it was weird when it got so close to your wedding day?! hahah! (Weird in a good way of course! lol)
Anyways, its so exciting, and i think the anticipation of the wedding day and trying to buy a house just might kill me hahah! Anyways, I just had to ramble on for a minute about how weird it is and how exciting it is to think that in just 9 days I will finally get to marry James! He is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I love him for so many reasons, when i get mad, he hates it, (he would kill me for saying this, but he gets teared up... and worries about what he has done wrong) its never anything major and sometimes I'm just in a bad mood and get upset over something silly for a few minutes hahah... but he is patient and so sweet even when im mad or upset, and if its not directed at him, he knows i just need a hug and to let me vent. He makes me laugh and anything we do is fun, even when its just watching a movie or making dinner on a saturday night.... he is the best, and i love him so much! :)

SO Close! :)
and don't worry I haven't sent out invites yet, hopefully tomorrow! (we used the wrong size of envelopes, got them all done and then my mom saw them and said it looked tacky hahaha... she didn't realize she had bought the wrong size and she was gone when James and I put them together, and i simply trusted her judgement! hahah... oh well they are almost there! (lots of people have started asking why they didn't get one so i thought i would mention it!)
We also finally got approved to get into a house last week! So we have been side-tracked with that!
James, me, and my mom (who is a realtor) went and looked at houses on friday, then today my mom, my dad, and me all went on a marathon... seriously, on average when you have the whole day she shows people 10-15 houses, we went and looked at about 20!
We were literally running through some haha, or at least to and from the car (that may or may have not had anything to do with the fact that it looked nice outside but was freezing!) lol!
We found some good ones and tomorrow we are going to look at our top 5 with James, and hopefully we will just make an offer on one! that would be SO awesome!~
THis is just so fun!!! I'm so excited tonight I had to blog! hahah I have told everyone at work basically and they are probably sick of hearing me talk about it LOL, so here I am, boring you with my house hunting stories!
One was really gross, a bank owned one, and i swear i still smell like it (I'm at work or else i'd take a shower) I should have at least thought to use some good smelling lotion or body spray hahah! and hopefully i really don't smell like it and its all in my head! :)
Anyways, I am just so excited: bridals last week, house hunting (possibly putting an offer on one this week), invites, and a bridal shower this next weekend! YAY!
( I don't think I ever blogged about my first shower at the first of the month, it was all of his family his dads side, his moms side, and his step-dads side (and yes they all get along haha they are awesome i love his family) this next shower on saturday is both sides of my family! I can't wait! plus im pretty sure my aunt bought some eclairs for the shower, and they are my absolute favorite! lol! :0 )
Well, thats about it, and I'm pretty sure my thought are scattered as usual, and also a long post... hahah but i feel pretty scatter-brained too so i guess it fits!
I hope everyone had a fun long valentines weekend and hope you all have a good couple of weeks coming up! I probably won't post again until after the wedding and such! :)

Making Progress!
Me and my mom went today to meet with our florist, ( LOVE the florist too! His name is Martin @ Jimmy's Floral in Layton/Ogden, you have to request him, otherwise he doesn't normally do weddings, which I don't know why, he is AMAZING!)
- first of all he kept complimenting me, he loved my eyes, haha, and he was certain James and I would have cute kids! hahah... (hey, compliments are always nice to hear! lol)
- second, he knows everything, we ended up asking him for advice on the cake, the photographer, and many un-floral related wedding things hahah! It was great, and he was just fun! So use him for sure when you need flowers, plus I felt like once we picked the flowers, he could just put it together and make it amazing, so I'm just not even worried!
*I totally thought we would be asked what flowers we wanted and then for the florist to be like "okay so how do you want them?!"... umm...not sure thats why you are the florist! hellooo... I just want them to look pretty! LOL and I had no idea what I wanted... and I have spent HOURS trying to decide incase thats what happened! Luckily it worked out great!
We also had my first fitting for my dress last week, so the second fitting is coming up! YAY!
We still need to officially book a photographer lol... but we are getting there!
James and I also narrowed down honeymoon ideas, and set up our "group" for the tuxes and picked out the tuxes, and all that fun stuff!
And.. I finished designing my invites with Lindsay @ nonsensicalinvites.com! YAY I love them! We just have to make sure on the times and then we can print them! :)
We even have cute frames too for the reception to put some engagements and bridals in! so the extra decorations are all done too!
I'm getting so excited! I can hardly wait! I think its about 50 days now!
(we even have dates for the bridal showers! yay!) I'm excited for that too, I'm gonna be like a little kid at christmas, getting all that fun stuff for our own place! haha!
p.s. I'm sorry my posts are just about wedding planning right now, but it pretty much consumes my life at the moment, other wise I just work! hahah. But at least in a month or two I will have a ton of pictures to post to make up for my long posts without any pics!

67 days and counting!!!
I still have to:
- book a photographer
- make a complete guest list
- get addresses
- finish designing my invites with Lindsay Wall (YAY!) ... they are going to be so cute! :)
- send out invites after typing in addresses and printing labels
- try on my dress & do alterations ... (p.s. it came in 3 weeks early! yay!)
- bridals
- figure out where we are going to live... yeah, we aren't sure yet.. hoping we can get into a house! We will see!
- and then all the other little things, changing my last name for bills, etc. and getting our own car insurance, getting stuff ready so I can be on his medical/dental insurance, bridal showers, etc.!
I'm way excited for all of this but wow.. its still alot to do! hahah. I'm really feeling relieved that I decided to take this semester off. I did that because I'm not totally sure if I want to continue the degree I started working on, or if I want to find something else. I just wasn't loving it. I mean... its school, and I have never been a fan lol... but I just don't find it as interesting as I thought I would, and I'm just not sure if the jobs it could get me are what I want, or if it gives me that many career choices. So I decided some time off would be beneficial to my sanity! :) haha. I hope I can decide soon what I want to do, but for now I have a lot of other things to worry about, especially if we can/ decide to try and get into a house by the end of april for the tax credit deadline.
Anyways, 2010 is off to a pretty good start and I have a feeling it will be a great year! :) I can't wait!

christmas!
We went to as many family parties as we could, luckily some are after xmas and some are the weekend before, so we don't go completely crazy trying to make it to all of them! haha! Next year we will have to figure out a game plan for the parties and just rotate who we go and see, otherwise its a little exhausting!
James and I didn't get anything for eachother because our plan has been to wait for the Presidents' Day sales (which are always really good) and buy us a couch set for our apartment! Plus, by then we may even have James moved into one, so that we can take the couches straight there! :) So, I'm excited for it to be february so we can go buy a couch! lol! and to make a final decision on an apartment!!!
I'm sad that the holiday season is almost over, it has been a nice break, and then its back to school, work, and still quite a bit of wedding planning to do... I have a feeling I'm gonna be really busy these next few months! But it will be fun and well worth it! :)
Only 73 more days!!!! We are so excited and I hope it goes by fast! :)
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year!
oh.. and P.S. I went and bought some way cute ornaments for our Christmas tree! YAY! they are cute white reindeer that are all glittery, with red glitter noses, and green-beads as legs haha- its hard to explain, but we will have such a cute tree next year- i can't wait! oh, and I got us some cute stockings too!
